DVR playback can be accessed through:

Web UI - Use the calendar picker in stream edit view

API Endpoint:

format (optional) - auto (default, returns stored format — usually WebP), jpeg/jpg, webp, png. With jpeg, server converts WebP/PNG → JPEG on first hit (cached as grid_thumbnails.jpg) and returns the JPEG URL. Only for local archives.
