Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the isptv.sk service and the ispTVplayer app for Samsung Smart TV process your personal data in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.

The app does not collect biometric data, location (GPS), contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.

3. Legal basis for processing

Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — processing necessary to deliver the subscribed service.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — anti-abuse protection, technical diagnostics, IT security.
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — billing and accounting under applicable Slovak law.

4. Recipients of data

We share your data only with the following recipient categories, and only to the extent necessary:

Hosting and infrastructure — server and CDN providers within the EU.
Streaming backends — partner services (e.g. ostv.sk, bella.sk) delivering content based on your subscription.
Payment services — for subscription management (outside the app).
Public authorities — only when required by law.

We do not transfer data outside the EU/EEA. We do not sell data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Retention period

Account and session data — for the duration of your subscription + 12 months after termination.
Billing data — 10 years (legal obligation).
Diagnostic logs — up to 90 days.
Local data on your TV (favorites, history) — stored only on your device; you can clear it anytime by signing out or uninstalling the app.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

access your data (Art. 15);
rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16);
erase data ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17);
restrict processing (Art. 18);
data portability (Art. 20);
object to processing (Art. 21);
lodge a complaint with the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.

7. Cookies and local storage

The ispTVplayer app for Samsung TV does not store HTTP cookies, but it uses local TV storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) for:

session token and sign-in information;
language preference;
favorite channels and playback history;
EPG data cache.

This data remains exclusively on your TV. The isptv.sk website uses strictly necessary cookies for portal operation and — with your consent — analytics cookies.

8. Children's privacy

The service is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 without parental consent.

9. Data security

Data is transmitted encrypted (TLS 1.2+), passwords are stored hashed, database access is restricted and logged. We perform regular backups and security updates.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will notify users of material changes via tsc.isptv.sk or email at least 30 days before they take effect. The current version is always available at tsc.isptv.sk/privacy/en.
